What it’s Like to Work With an Interior Designer.
Are you looking to redesign your space, but not quite sure how it works when working with an Interior Designer?
Read on to familiarise yourself with the 6 key stages that you go through when working with us.
01. Meet
WITHIN 1 WEEK
Our initial consultations are a way for us to find out more about the project and see if we are a good fit for each other. I will send out an online questionnaire to all of our potential clients to be completed before the meeting so that we can sit and discuss your ideas together during your initial consultation. From here, we will decide which package works best for you and I will send out a proposal for the scope of works. Once the proposal has been agreed upon and signed, we ask for the 50% deposit to be paid so that the design can commence!
02. Discover
WITHIN 2 WEEKS
Once you have signed up and received your Client Welcome Pack, the project can begin! We will have our design debrief and I will get to know you and your project more in depth. I want to know exactly where the space- or spaces- that we are working on are, who the space is for, what is needed of the space, why we need to incorporate specific elements, and how we can achieve the best possible outcome. I can then pull together inspirational imagery to create our mood board based on the 3 key words from your questionnaire that best describe the way that you want your new space to look and feel. This forms the basis for our final concept and design.
03. Create
WITHIN 4 WEEKS
After establishing a full brief, I begin work on our final concept designs. I work on functional space planning as well as aesthetics; pulling together textiles, accessories and furniture that suit the scheme and fulfil the brief. I curate shopping lists and specification booklets with all of the suggested pieces and present my scheme using rendered images that show you the overall vision for the final design. Any necessary tweaks and amendments can be made before finalising and signing off the design.
04. Implement
WITHIN 4+ WEEKS
After the design is signed off and the invoice has been paid, we can begin to order the desired items and coordinate our trusted team of tradespeople, should they be required. For fully project managed services, I will orchestrate site visits and create thorough schedules of works. At this stage, depending on your design package, I can send you on your way with everything that you need to bring your new design to life, or fully oversee the fitting and installation, should you wish for a more hands on approach! I will ensure that you are happy with all of the completed works before signing off the design.
05. Style
TIMESCALE DEPENDENT ON PROJECT
It is now time for the best part! Whether you have project managed, or we are still fully immersed in the project, I can come out to the space to style and add the perfect touches to the finished scheme, or for virtual services and less hands on packages, you can use the design documents and renders to know exactly where each piece will go in the finished scheme.
06. Enjoy!
Once the space is complete, you can now enjoy living in your perfectly curated space, that has been created to enhance your lifestyle and improve your wellbeing. You can look forward to coming home to your sanctuary every day or inviting people into your impactful office space!
